Roskva Yasmin Andersen is a dance artist and choreographer based in Bergen. For 2022, Yasmin needed an updated version of her website. The result was an online portfolio that shows her work as a dance artist resolved in a more defined and clear way.
For 2024, we worked on a name change to RYA dansekunst, logo, color palette, pattern and business cards. Yasmin wanted a logo that includes both her name and identity: Roskva is a Viking name meaning courage, and Yasmin is after the flower jasmine. We have taken the jasmine flower as a starting point to assemble the letters RYA, and have put this into a grid system. In this way, we also hint at runes when using the grid - without directly writing with runes. The colors in the identity have been selected from the dance artist’s works, and colors that we have already used on the website.
